Sabrina Claudio unveiled her sophomore studio album, Truth Is, on Friday (Oct. 4) featuring a slow-burning duet with Zayn titled “Rumors.”
“All these rumors spreadin’ around/ And I kind of like the way they sound/ All these rumors about you and me/ How can we make this a reality?” the R&B star wonders on the track’s sultry chorus before handing the reins to the former One Direction member for a second verse full of he-said, she-said gossip.
“The process of this album has helped me not only grow as a woman, but also as a human being as well,” Claudio said of the new LP in a statement. “By letting go of my fears and concerns, I’ve gained so much happiness and freedom. With that freedom I’ve also gained confidence…I’m still learning about myself, my body and my mind, but I’m not afraid to tell my story.”
Truth Is also showcases Claudio’s introspective lyrics and breathy, seductive croon on singles “As Long As You’re Asleep” and “Holding The Gun,” and follows the singer’s debut 2018 studio set No Rain, No Flowers and breakout 2017 mixtape, About Time.
