To help ensure your safety, AMALIE Arena is preserving all current security measures. These procedures are designed to help our guests have a safe and enjoyable visit to our arena. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience.

Your safety is always our first concern. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Alcohol Service Management/Policy

AMALIE Arena staff is trained in responsible alcohol service management by certified TEAM Coalition trainers.

 

All alcohol purchases must be accompanied by one of the following physical forms of ID:

  • Valid, unexpired US state or Canadian issued driver’s license or ID,
  • Valid, unexpired US Passport
  • Valid, unexpired US Military ID

Digital IDs, photos or copies of ID will not be accepted for alcohol purchases.

 

You must be 21 years of age to purchase any alcohol. You will be asked to present valid ID if you appear to be 40 years of age or younger. Service of alcoholic beverages is limited to two (2) drinks per person, per purchase. Alcohol service cut-off time for a Lightning game is ten minutes into the third period. Guests are not permitted to bring in any outside alcoholic beverages, other than from Cigar City on Ford Thunder Alley plaza, nor are they permitted to leave the building with alcohol purchased inside AMALIE Arena.

Bag Policy

Bags larger than 12x12x12" are prohibited at AMALIE Arena. Large bags (not including small clutches) are required to go through an x-ray scanner prior to entry. Medical and parenting bags exceeding these sizes are permitted but are subject to additional search procedures.

For hockey games, bags larger than 4x6x1.5" are required to go through an x-ray scanner prior to entry.

Cameras, Video and Audio Equipment Policy

For concerts and other events, small "point and click" cameras are permitted, and all other cameras are prohibited. GoPros and selfie sticks are not permitted into the arena. Video and audio recording devices are also prohibited. Photo and video policy is subject to change on a show-by-show basis.

For NHL games, still cameras with a lens smaller than 6 inches will be permitted. iPads are permitted for hockey only.

Video and audio recording equipment is not permitted in AMALIE Arena unless otherwise stated for a specific event.

Child's Ticket Policy

It is an AMALIE Arena policy that children UNDER two (2) years old are admitted free of charge for all events as long as they sit on a lap. (Age limit subject to change based on show promoter request; please call Client Services or the ReliaQuest Ticket Office for more information). 

Dress Code Policy

At select events, wearing costumes, including masks, that cover your entire face may not be permitted inside of the venue.

Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be brought into AMALIE Arena events:

  • Bags larger than 12x12x12" are prohibited at AMALIE Arena. Medical and parenting bags exceeding these sizes are permitted but are subject to additional search procedures.

  • For hockey, still cameras with a lens smaller than 6 inches will be permitted. For all concerts and other events, small "point and click" cameras are permitted, and all other cameras are prohibited. Video and audio recording devices and camera bags are also prohibited.
  • For NBA games, professional and/or commercial cameras with interchangeable or detachable lenses. Audio/visual recording devices (includes GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles etc.) are not permitted
  • Binoculars are permitted.* Binocular bags are not permitted
  • Video or audio recording devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Bottles, cans, or containers of any kind
  • Sharp objects, sticks or poles of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Pepper spray or mace
  • Food or beverage items
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Chairs, folding chairs or any other type of individual chair for use
  • Wrapped gifts
  • Large banners or signs, banners or signs with objectionable language banners or signs on a pole of any kind
  • Noisemakers and horns
  • Wallet chains and long chains/sharp spikes

Keep in mind that AMALIE Arena will utilize a variety of search techniques at all entry points. Thank you for your cooperation.

Re-entry Policy

Vinik Sports Group is committed to the safety and well-being of all guests, employees, players and performers. Because of those safety and security concerns, AMALIE Arena does not permit guests to exit and re-enter the facility during hockey games or events. Guests wishing to exit AMALIE Arena for any reason will not be allowed back into the arena, per the facility’s re-entry policy.

Recycling

AMALIE Arena is dedicated to the sustainability of the environment of the Tampa Bay area. Our mission is to make the Tampa Bay area a better place to live, work and play for today and future generations. Our organization is committed to doing everything we can to reduce our environmental footprint and to encourage our fans to do the same in their homes. Together we will make a difference in the environment for today and tomorrow. Please ask any AMALIE Arena staff member where you can recycle your plastic bottles, aluminum cans, programs, etc.

Security

AMALIE Arena is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. If you need assistance, please contact one of our Guest Services Representatives or you can visit Guest Services across from Section 101.

Service Animals

All service animals are permitted in AMALIE Arena.

Smoking Policy

Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment is committed to the safety and well-being of all guests, employees, players and performers. Because of those safety and security concerns, AMALIE Arena does not permit guests to exit and re-enter the facility during hockey games or events. Guests wishing to exit AMALIE Arena for any reason will not be allowed back into the arena, per the facility’s re-entry policy.

Ticket Scalping/Reselling

There are many secondary market options for reselling tickets to AMALIE Arena events. Ticketmaster team exchange is the preferred ticket resale service of AMALIE Arena.

Florida Law prohibits the reselling of tickets on AMALIE Arena property.

Ticket Sales Information Booths (Hockey Events Only)

Tickets sales information booths are located behind Section 101 on the Promenade Level. Come to any one of these booth locations to speak with a sales representative.

Ticketing Procedures

AMALIE Arena uses bar code scanning for ticket admissions. As a result, guests should purchase tickets from an AMALIE Arena licensed ticket sellers, such as the ReliaQuest Ticket Office, TampaBayLightning.com, and Ticketmaster.com. Otherwise, you may be purchasing a ticket that is invalid and will be denied admission.

Ticketmaster Fees

Purchases through Ticketmaster.com and at the Reliaquest Ticket Office are subject to both a Facility Fee and convenience fee.

Ticket Stubs

Your ticket stub is proof that you are in possession of a valid ticket for the event you are attending. You may be asked to present your ticket stub (physical or mobile) to verify your seat location. In the event you lose your ticket stub, the ticket office may or may not be able to replace it.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are permitted in AMALIE Arena. They need to be closed and placed under your seat.

Weapons

No weapons of any kind are permitted in AMALIE Arena. Licensed law enforcement officials attending the event as a guest are prohibited from carrying weapons.
