2022 CAST Poster Session Award

Congratulations to Dr. Edna Soraya Rawlings for winning the 2022 CAST Poster Session Award. She is a Postdoctoral Appointee at Sandia National Laboratories in the Quantitative Modeling and Analysis department. Her research focuses on mathematical programming and modeling, including nonlinear and generalized disjunctive programming and dynamic optimization problems. She received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in 2008 and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Guanajuato in 2016, advised by Salvador Hernández Castro and Juan Gabriel Segovia Hernández. She was also a research scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Ignacio Grossmann and a postdoctoral research fellow at the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya, supervised by Vicente Rico Ramírez.
