The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, seeks applications for a post-doctoral position from doctoral candidates or recent Ph.D recipients (within 3 years of graduation) interested in a broad range of issues related to renewable energy and electricity markets.

The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy is a nonpartisan public policy center, located on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The Center has research focal areas in energy and environmental policy and global security, along with its instructional and public service missions. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty from the Baker Center and the Department of Economics on several projects related to renewable energy and electricity markets. Candidates who have a demonstrated track record of working with agent based models, electricity market data or laboratory experiments will be prioritized.

Candidates who have developed cross-disciplinary approaches during their graduate studies will find numerous, unique opportunities to engage in research programs at the leading edge of energy and environmental economics.

The deadline to submit an application is November 15, 2019 for 24-month appointments starting in the fall of 2020.
