The 11-day international competition will take place from Jan. 12 to 22. The World University Games is one of the largest winter multi-sport collegiate events in the world and will feature university students between the ages of 17 and 25 eligible to compete.

There will be three different ski jumping events at the World University Games, all held at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid. The first event will be the individual normal hill event, followed by a mixed team normal hill event, with the last event being a team normal hill competition.

For Nordic combined, there will be four different events, with competition being held at Mount Van Hoevenberg and the Olympic Jumping Complex. The first competition will be the normal hill 10K/5K event, followed by a normal hill mass start 10K/5K event, a team normal hill 2×2.5K/2x5K event and capped off by a mixed team normal hill sprint 2×1.5K event.

“It’s an honor and great opportunity for our athletes to compete in the World University Games,” USA Nordic Sport CEO Adam Provost said in a statement. “It gives our younger athletes an opportunity to compete internationally at venues that our athletes know very well. I’m excited to see them compete in Lake Placid.”

The ski jumping athletes that are attending the World University Games will be coached by USANS men’s and women’s ski jumping coach Trevor Edlund. Nordic combined athletes will be coached by USANS men’s Nordic combined Continental Cup coaches Gregor Linsig and Harrison Harb.
