SLIAC Golfer of the Week (9/20/17, 10/18/17, 4/11/18, 4/18/18)

2019-20 (JUNIOR): During the shortened season due to COVID-19, Hocker solidified his status as one of the top men's golfers in NCAA Division III as he made history in becoming the first Gorlok men's golfer and the first men's golfer from the SLIAC to earn All-American honors as he was tabbed a First-Team PING Division III All-American ... In 2019-20, Hocker posted a team-best 72.00 scoring average in 18 rounds and seven events ...  The 72.00 scoring average is tops on the school's single season charts ... Recorded a team high seven rounds of par or better and finished in the Top 10 in six of Webster's seven events, including four Top 5 finishes and winning medalist honors at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic (8/30-31) ... Finished the season with a 602-31 combined record and shot a school record low round of 63 (8-under par) in the final round of the Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament (9/7) and that round of 63 was the lowest round among all Division III golfers in 2019-20 ... The 8-under par score was tied for the lowest round relative to par in Division III ... He was also runner-up at the Tempest Intercollegiate (10/7-8) and tied for second at the BSN Sports-Dataw Island Invitational (3/9-10) ...  He recorded the team's five lowest scoring round of the season.

2018-19 (SOPHOMORE): Averaged 74.74 strokes per round in 10 events and 23 rounds ... The 74.74 scoring average was fourth-best on the school's single season chart ... Had a team best five Top 10 finishes, including two Top 5 placements ... Shot a team best six round of par or better, including a season best 69 three times on the year ... Fired a 69 in the first round of the SLIAC Championship (4/22) and also had 69's in the both the second round of the Rhodes Fall Classic (4/15) and in the first round of the IWU Invitational (4/5) ... Finished as runner-up at the SLIAC Championships (4/22-23) as he carded a 6-over 222 ... Fired a 157 for 36 at the NCAA D-III National Championships (5/14-15) ... Recorded five of Webster's Top 10 low rounds on the year ... Shot a season low 36 hole score of 142 in the IWU Invitational (4/5-6) as he finished in a tie for fourth place ... Tallied seven finishes inside the Top 20 ... Fired 12 rounds on the year of under 75 ... Earned First-Team All-SLIAC honors and was also named a PING First-Team All-Central Region selection ... 

2017-18 (FRESHMAN): Had one of the best season's in Webster men's golf history in 2017-18 ... Averaged a team-best 74.4 strokes per round in 10 events and 23 rounds ... The 74.4 scoring average was the best in single-season school history ... Had a team-best six Top 10 finishes, including five Top 5 placement and he also won three tournaments ... Opened his collegiate golf career by winning medalist honors at the Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic (9/1-2) as he carded a 144 for 36 holes to place first in the field of 109 golfers and then followed up the win at the Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic, he placed first at the Rhodes College Fall Classic (9/17-18) as he shot a season-best 206 for 54 holes to place first among a field of 104 golfers ... Also claimed medalist honors at the SLIAC Championships (4/23-24) as he carded a 216 for 54 holes to become the sixth Gorlok to win medalist honors at the SLIAC Championships en route to claiming both the SLIAC Men's Golfer and Newcomer of the Year Awards ... Shot a season-best 66 in the second round of the Rhodes College Fall Classic (9/18) ... The 66 was the lowest of the season for a Gorlok golfer ... Had six of the eight lowest rounds of the season, including posting three rounds in the 60's ... Recorded seven rounds of par or better golf ... Fired a season-best 36 hole score of 143 at the Alamo City Classic (10/16-17) as he placed second overall ... His other Top 5 finish was a fourth place showing at the TaylorMade Intercollegiate ... Shot rounds of 85 and 76 at the NCAA Division III National Championships (5/15-16) ... At the Division III Match Play Championships (4/6-7), he won all four of his matches as he needed just 56 of 72 holes to win all four matches ... He never needed more than 15 holes to win any of his matches as he won three of his four matches in 15 holes and the other match he won in just 11 holes .. Named a PING First-Team All-Central Region selection

PRIOR TO WEBSTER (UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA): Attended one year at the University of Oklahoma in 2016-17, but did not play any sport at Oklahoma.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in golf at Grapevine High School for Coach Brian Humphreys ... Earned All-State honors in golf as a senior ... Was teammates in high school with current Gorlok senior golfer, Mitchell Vetter.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 8 ... Son of Paige and Jesse Hocker III ... Finance major ... Has a brother, Jesse (28) ... Chose Webster because of the men's golf program ... Names Tiger Woods as his favorite golfer ... Lists any Dallas team as his favortie sports teams ... Likes to hike, work out, listen to podcasts and read.
