There are many families in our region, maybe more so than ever with a pandemic in full swing, who are struggling. You can help make sure some of their most basic needs are met.

WCHS/FOX11 is partnering with Union Mission, 700 South Park Road in Charleston, and sponsors Todd Judy Ford, Advanced Physical Therapy, United Way and Rock 105 on the Feeding Families drive. Through this effort, members of our communities can help make sure needy families in the area will have food on their tables.

Starting now and running through Nov. 30, donations can be sent by text to 833-401-0918. Text the dollar and food amount. For example, “5 food” will donate $5. Texts are case and space sensitive. If a text is wrong, it will give a prompt to resubmit.

Monetary donations also can be made at http://unionmission.com/help-us-feed-people-this-holiday-season/

Checks can be mailed to: Union Mission, South Park PO Box 112. Charleston, WV 25321.

Your dollars can make a difference in the lives of families, who often don’t know where to turn for their next meal. A donation of $2.49 buys a meal. Give $24.95 and you can buy a family food for a week.
