Hero Arts and Altenew Collaboration

Hello friends!
http://shrsl.com/1waid

I am excited to participate the Hero Arts and Altenew collaboration Blog Hop today.
Hero Arts is celebrating 45 years in crafting industry, this is one of the special hops to commemorate this huge milestone.

If you arrive from Svitlana Shayevich's blog, you are in the right place.
For all information about this blog hop, please visit Hero Arts Blog.

As a design team member from Altenew, I am so happy to be part of this hop.
We are celebrating the release of this stamp set "we are better together" and share our work with this stamp set.  VERY cool, right?  I really enjoy watercoloring with the Altenew Brush Markers and that was what I did with this card.

Since the image is rather large, I didn't want all the outlines getting lost in the coloring.
Once I finished watercoloring, I repeated the gold-embossing 4 times!

I love the bold outlines in this as they reminded me of the stain glass effect.

The "thank you" sentiment was stamped at the top corner and it is quite fitting with the entire design.

3 prizes, drawn from comments left across the blog hop:
- One winner will receive the stamp set!
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Altenew
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Hero Arts

Thanks to Hero Arts, I am doing what I love today. 10 years ago, I started to participated in Hero Arts online Flickr Group challenges. Through the process, I learned so much from all the mentors from Hero Arts artist (Shari Carroll, Jennifer McGuire and Lisa Spangler...etc).  I have been a Hero Arts fan and will always be.
Today is such a special blog hop that brings me back to those fond memories.

I absolutely love this card. The stained glass effect is so elegant. I flower is beautiful and the background appears as part of the stained glass pattern. The gold embossing reminds me of the gold foiling used in stained glass. This is the prettiest card in the blog hop and there are some really pretty ones!

Love the peachy coral blends of colour in the flower Virginia. Thanks for the tip about embossing the outline three times. I've never done that but it makes quite a difference. Is that alcohol ink you used in the background or watercolour? It's a beautiful blend. Nice to see two great companies collaborating.
