About Us
The University of Toledo, an All-Steinway School, is a fully-accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Available programs include both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, including the Bachelor of Music Performance, Bachelor of Education in Multi-Age: Music Education, and the Master of Music Performance. Hone your musicianship under the guidance of one of our highly skilled and experienced faculty, comprised of professional performing musicians, composers, published researchers, and active members of the commercial music industry. As a student of a university in a metropolitan area, you will benefit from our proximity to and relationships with professional arts organizations, including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Toledo Opera, and the Toledo Jazz Orchestra. Greater Toledo INternational youth orchestra
Founded in 2013 by Yang Kun Song, the GTiYO is a string orchestra that performs a diverse repertoire, including traditional and modern Chinese music, as well as Western compositions. Students travel and perform internationally, to experience other cultures in the pursuit of the GTiYO's mission of Bridging Cultural Diversity through Music. Recent travel/performance includes Ferrara, Italy, and Toyohashi, Japan in summer 2024. The GTiYO is a proud partner of the UToledo Department of Music. Auditions are open at any time to new members. UToledo Rocket Marching band
The University of Toledo Rocket Marching Band has a rich tradition and continues to entertain our Rocket Fans. The band performs at all home football games as well as events on campus and around the Toledo area.
The RMB is open to all students on campus. Auditions are ongoing throughout the summer.

The University of Toledo offers many ensembles of all sizes - from combos and chamber groups to large ensembles, a full orchestra, and the Rocket Marching Band.
