What is your hidden talent?
I like to write.
What is your favorite karaoke song?
“Truth Hurts” by Lizzo.
If you could compete in another sport during the Olympic Games what would it be and why?
It would be swimming because I was a swimmer before I played water polo.
What is one thing you have to have with you when you travel?
Cute clothes and my shoes.
Biggest superstition if you have one?
Have to have my toenails painted for games.
What is your biggest fear?
The dark.
What causes are most dear to your heart?
ASPCA, human trafficking, child sexual abuse, child trafficking.
What are two truths and a lie about you?
Picky eater.
I’m the youngest child
I speak three languages
Do you have a nickname? How did you get it?
I am either called Steph or Steffi. I have been called Steph since I came to the U.S. and only three people call me Steffi: My mom, my twin sister, and Kiley Neushul.
What advice would you give your younger self and what would you remind your older self?
To my younger self: All the tough times you’re going through are just for a little while, but they will make you stronger. Keep pushing through and keep giving 100 percent in everything you do. I’d remind my older self that there are no guarantees in life, and everything comes through hard work and dedication.
