Theme of the Month:  "GRIT "
Greetings CPPS Phamily!

We are now in week 3 of the semester, and I hope you are doing well. Our February focus is “GRIT”. With all that we are facing today, a bit of “grit” is necessary just to stay focused and on top of things. Regardless of your chosen major, there will be times when you wonder if you have what it takes to reach your goal. But if you make use of the resources around you and hold on a bit longer, you will begin to see the light of day.

Remember that your faculty advisor, your success coach, the Learning Enhancement Center (LEC) on Main Campus and the Academic Enrichment Center (AEC) on the Health Science campus, are there to support you on your academic journey. Additionally, the University Counseling Center can provide support as well. Make use of the resources that your tuition dollars are paying for, and before you know it, you will have achieved your goal.

Here is this week’s “grit” quote:

“Grit is having the courage to push through, no matter what the obstacles are, because it’s worth it.” (Chris Morris)

Yes, the journey is not easy, but it is definitely worth it.

Rocket Regards,

Dr. Holiday-Goodman
