My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive learning environment in which they can thrive. In our class, our goal is to give our all every day.
My students are sweet, smart and hardworking.
They deserve the very best that this world has to offer. I can't wait to watch them achieve their hopes and dreams!
My Project
Games in the classroom are such a powerful way to get our students excited about learning. One way to spice up their learning is to have a "Glow Party" that covers the content learned in the classroom. Students work with each other to complete games, activities or tasks to review content. These activities are great ways for me to access if a student understands the material or if I need to reteach. This is also a great way to build cooperative learning and support a positive, engaging learning environment. Students are not even aware that they are learning because they are having so much fun.
