My Students

My students are opinionated, curious and expressive! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to be able to express their opinions and arguments! They come to school each day ready to prove their point and listen to others in order to grow both personally and academically.

Because my school is part of community that serves a military base and several casino resorts, my students come from a variety of cultures, economic backgrounds, and life experiences; there is a need for technology and supplies for many of them.

Each student in my classroom learns differently. I try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met in class and gives them access to the curriculum. They are truly an fun and amazing age group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are ready to express their own opinions, but also ready to learn from each other.

My Project

In our classroom we need The Apple iPad Pro, Apple Tv, Pencil and other accessories because they connect wirelessly to the SmartBoard software we already have and can be used as a wireless slate. With the use of both the Apple iPad Pro and Apple TV I will be able to connect wirelessly and teach while walking around the classroom. With the Apple Pencil, I will be able to teach without using a document camera. In addition, the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil also offer many learning apps as well as the ability to connect to internet learning sites and online curriculum.

Consequently, the Apple iPad Pro and all of the accessories will provide high-quality learning opportunities that my students need to be successful.

I am also requesting a keyboard and mouse to use with the Ipad as well as Airpods to record virtual lessons and read alouds. While the Apple iPad Pro and accessories will enrich the classroom, it also will help with engaging my students and making them life-long learners!
