My Students

I teach at a large, urban, public school with almost 1,030 students. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with the majority of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is one of the most ethnically diverse schools with a very active military influence.

I teach future authors, members of the military, doctors, teachers, engineers, and productive future contributors to society.

I teach students who are always asking why and ready to take learning to the next step.

My Project

My middle school students are working on computer programming and coding. My students work hard every day to become better computer programmers and take it upon themselves to assist their peers to ensure that everyone succeeds.

I will highlight the ambassador STEM History | Women in STEM assets and Creative Arts while introducing my students to coding and that women are just as good as men at work (or even better).

Combining the two innovative projects would be essential to the success of student production.

I coach an autonomous robotics team in LA. I have a few female students involved with this team. The goal of our public schools is to have a large group of girls coding and building drones and robots. Our "GirlPower" team has already won a regional competition and had the opportunity to compete in the semi-finals.

My students will benefit from the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation gaming consoles because it will give students the ability to go through Alpha/Beta testing as well as being able to show off their newfound skills to their peers and family members.

Students will learn essential skills to use advanced programming knowledge in their future by designing their own games. Students will be using HTML, Java, JavaScript, A-script, and CSS to create amazing three-dimensional environments and beautiful works of art.
