The UW Climate Impacts Group is engaging staff and operators in the water sector in the broader Northwest region (WA, OR, ID, AK) in a series of conversations about how to plan and prepare for the impacts of climate change. This survey will help us better understand the specific climate change-related information needs of small- to medium-scale water utilities (serving populations <200,000), improve on existing datasets and tools, and build additional resources to help meet water sector needs at different scales.
We will be organizing several focus group calls in July 2020, followed by a series of webinars in early August 2020, which will include trainings on how to access regionally relevant climate data and tools. We will be tailoring the content of these offerings based in part on the outcomes of this survey.
