Dr. Martin Nielsen leads a world-renowned research program in equine parasitology and his team's mission is to provide solutions for equine parasite control. Horse parasites are developing increasing levels of resistance to all available dewormers, and there are no new drugs under development. This leaves horse owners and veterinarians with an abundance of unanswered questions. Dr. Nielsen's team works hard to address these.
Two unique and historic horse populations were established by Drs. Harold Drudge and Eugene T. Lyons in the 1970s and have been maintained ever since. These healthy horses remain an invaluable research resource today as they continue to provide useful information in support of the health and well-being of horses world-wide.
Gifts to Nielsen Parasitology Fund will provide research revenue for the important work Dr. Nielsen's research team conducts. In particular, the team is seeking support to maintain quality feeding and care for the historic parasitology research herds. Your valuable support allows the College to be flexible, responsive and demonstrate the truth that there is power in numbers
You can support the Nielsen Parasitology Fund on this page. If you'd like to give to another fund that is not listed, please use the search box in the upper right of this page and type in the desired fund to make your gift. We are grateful for your support!
