Support the Gatton College of Business & Economics

For nearly 100 years, UK's Gatton College of Business and Economics has been preparing principled leaders for the global economy, producing high quality, influential research, and supporting economic growth in Kentucky and beyond. In 1995, the Board of Trustees named the college in honor of Mr. Carol Martin "Bill" Gatton, Class of 1954, in recognition of his $14 million pledge.

In 2018, Dr. Simon J. Sheather became the eighth dean of the Gatton College, after serving in numerous leadership positions in universities in Australia and the United States, most recently at Texas A&M. In fall 2019, Gatton launched its real-time, online MBA program, bringing Kentucky's premier MBA to students anywhere they live.

Housed inside the $65 million state-of-the-art Gatton College building, which was funded entirely by philanthropy, the college accommodates the fastest growing enrollment on UK's campus, expected to reach 4,000 students by 2020.

Accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), Gatton proudly offers a full range of business and economics degrees. Through teaching, research, and outreach, the Gatton College has a direct, tangible influence on the lives of Kentucky's citizens and people around the world.
