2020-21 (Junior): Finished fourth in the 200 fly (1:42.28), sixth in the 200 IM (1:43.72), and ninth in the 200 free (1:33.87) at the 2021 SEC Championships … Lowered his own school record in the 200 fly …. 2019-20 (Sophomore): Scored 27 individual points at the 2020 SEC Championships, while also helping the 800 freestyle relay team earn 52 relay points … There, he finished in seventh place in the 200 butterfly in a personal record 1:43.23, while he also finished in 21st place in the 200 IM in a personal record 1:46.01 … Didn’t score points in the 100 butterfly, but finished in 27th place in a personal record 47.44 … Also at the league meet, Wilby swam the third split in the 800 freestyle relay in 1:34.95, helping the squad to fourth place … Earned the Team Spirit Award at the program’s annual awards banquet.

2018-19 (Freshman): Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team … Scored points in two of his individual events at the SEC Championships, while also setting career-best marks in each of those events … There, he finished 12th in the 200 fly (1:44.97) and 23rd in the 200 IM (1:47.11) … He also recorded a 47.55 in the 100 fly in a time trial at the league meet, a season best.

Prior to UK: The No. 26 recruit in the class of 2018 and No. 2 recruit out of Florida … 2017 Florida 4A state champion in the 100 fly (48.12) and runner-up in the 100 back (49.50) … 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games gold medalist in the 200-meter fly … Member of the British Junior National Team … Trained with Gator Swim Club under coach Robert Pinter.

Personal: Parents are Martyn and Jill Wilby, who are both former UK swimmers … Father is Swimming Canada’s senior coach for the Olympic program … Has one sister, Kendal, who plays tennis at Butler.
