The Udall Center sponsors policy-relevant, interdisciplinary research and forums that link scholarship and education to decision-making.

The Udall Foundation helps fund the Udall Center’s work on issues involving environmental policy, primarily in the Southwest and U.S.-Mexico border region, and Indigenous nations’ policy.

Environmental Policy

The Environmental Policy Program focuses on the areas of water security and management, climate change adaptation and planning, and ecosystems services valuation and protection in the Southwest and U.S.—Mexico border region.

Indigenous Nations Policy

The Indigenous Nations Policy Program comprises the research and outreach activities of the Native Nations Institute for Leadership, Management, and Policy, housed at the Udall Center.
