Course Design Clinic

Course Design Clinic guides faculty through the design or redesign of a course addressing the following:

  1. Aligning goals and learning outcomes with activities and assessments
  2. Organizing the course shell, syllabus, and schedule
  3. Designing individual class meetings, activities, and assignments
  4. Planning for assessment of student learning

Working with the CETL and Technology Enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS) staff, as well as campus partners and colleagues from across campus, faculty receive guidance on rigorous instructional design, assignment-based assessment, active learning strategies, and inclusive course design. Over 500 faculty have completed the clinic since 2018.
