Incredible Times
The past month has been - in a word - unbelievable. We’ve all been living it together. COVID-19 and social distancing are words and phrases that most of us wouldn’t have uttered 4 months ago. Today, they’re nearly as common as our own names.
We’ve all had to figure out what family life and work life look like as we are all making efforts to keep our communities healthy. Some of us are educating our kids at home. Some of us are working from home. Some of us have had to explore unemployment because of conditions we never thought possible.
If that wasn’t enough, Mother Nature issued a stern warning that she still rules the roost, and even though the calendar says Winter is over, she still had a little more snow to throw at us. Heavy, wet snow fell in the double digits, causing widespread power outages and service disruptions, not just here, but statewide. And, if that wasn’t enough, it was chased by a heavy windstorm giving us reason to be concerned with another round of outages.
At UniTel, we’ve had line workers and technicians returning service to our customers as quickly as possible, despite the conditions. We have maintained safe social distancing through it all and have responded as soon as we could to all inquiries about service. Your sales & service representatives, operations team and administration are all working remotely, ensuring safety for our families while continuing to provide superior service.
We have received numerous inquiries from customers about upgrading service now that more work is being done from home by both kids and adults. We are in the same boat and understand the need to increase capacity quickly, and we are working hard to process these requests in a timely manner.
If you happen to see a UniTel technician out and about, or any line worker, for that matter, give them a friendly wave. It’s been a tough couple of weeks. But they have risen to the challenge and done exceptional work.
