Service Enterprise Program Overview

THE SERVICE ENTERPRISE PROGRAM STRENGTHENS NONPROFIT CAPACITY THROUGH THE FUNDAMENTAL AND STRATEGIC USE OF VOLUNTEERS AND THEIR SKILLS TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY NEEDS.

As of October 1, 2022, AL!VE became the administrator of the Service Enterprise Program. We continue to work with a national network of Training and Implementation Partners to bring this organization change management program to nonprofits, governmental organizations, and volunteer-involving organizations across the country, helping to enhance and sustain the spirit of volunteering.

What is a SERVICE ENTERPRISE?
A Service Enterprise is an organization that strategically leverages volunteers to achieve operational efficiency and greater social impact. Service Enterprises are among the top 11% of nonprofits in the country in volunteer engagement and organizational performance. Research shows that organizations operating as Service Enterprises are as effective as peers but at almost half the median budget and are significantly more adaptable, sustainable, and scalable. Join the journey to become a leader in capacity building and engagement by becoming an accredited Service Enterprise Organization or a Training and Implementation Partner.
