  • CareerShift – With CareerShift‘s robust company and contact database, users can find current job connections and make meaningful new connections. You can also upload documents, save jobs and contacts within the system. 
  • CareerEco – CareerEco is a virtual recruiting platform and talent community for job seekers, prospective graduate students, academic institutions, and employers who leverage the power of technology and embrace innovation in order to accomplish their professional and academic goals.
  • American Association of University Women Start Smart Salary Negotiation – Learn to successfully advocate for yourself and take the FREE Work Smart online training course.
  • Buzzfile – Buzzfile.EDU is the most comprehensive employers-by-major (or area of interest) resource available to colleges and universities. Students can discover, research, and network with thousands of potential employers for 150+ areas of interest.

  • Glassdoor – Glassdoor gives you an inside look at company salaries, reviews, and interview questions for more than 80,000 companies.
  • Business Insights Essentials – Business Insights™: Essentials provides a robust database that makes it easy to access in-depth information on U.S. and international businesses, industries, and products. The individual company information includes detailed histories, financials, and competitor data. Interactive comparison charts allow you to compare companies within an industry and customize the results based on your exact specifications.
  • D&B Hoovers – This is a searchable database that provides detailed information on U.S. and international companies and their executives. The data includes financials, subsidiaries, trade and business news, and research reports. It is a great resource for building company lists.
  • Fairygodboss – Fairygodboss offers a women’s career community, expert career advice, job openings, and company reviews to help you advance your career.
  • Payscale – Utilize PayScale to obtain accurate, real-time information on job market compensation. It has guides to various forms of compensation research, salary negotiation guides, cost of living calculators for different locations, and more!

  • LinkedIn –  LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional career-oriented social network, enabling members to reconnect with old friends, classmates, and colleagues; form new contacts to help power a career, and get advice from industry professionals. Check out: www.linkedin.com/alumni.
  • Email Hunter – Email Hunter is an online tool that allows you to find professional email addresses quickly and easily. Simply enter a domain name and get the list of all the emails related to it found on the internet. You can also learn the pattern used by a company, making it easy to determine an individual’s company email address. Signup is free and allows you to conduct a limited number of searches.

 

  • Management Consulted – Management Consulted is a leading resource on all things consulting, with a focus on resumes, interviews, firm profiles, case interviews, and finding management consulting jobs! There are many consulting articles on topics ranging from summer internships to case interview preparation. Vanderbilt’s subscription includes unlimited access to all 6 MC e-books, all 7 MC online video courses, and 550+ case MC Consulting Case Bank.
