This artist's work landed on Britney Spears' Instagram: 'I have no words'

Britney Spears applauded the colorful work of an ASU graduate that's part of Meow Wolf in Denver.

The average person doesn't expect to see their work posted on a celebrity's social media account.

But singer Britney Spears shared a picture of artwork by Arizona State University alumna Cami Galofre with her nearly 42 million followers on Instagram, and the post got more than 35,000 likes.

On July 10, Spears shared a zoomed-in photo of Galofre's work at the immersive Meow Wolf exhibition at the Convergence Station in Denver. The multimedia artist's work features pastel paints and 3D cutouts that create an ethereal mountain scape.

Spears captioned the post with the word, "Colors." 

'Thank you Britney for making my dreams come true'

Galofre responded with her own Instagram post. She wrote:  

"Britney posted my artwork last night and I have been trying to come up with the perfect caption for this repost. Truth is, I have no words to explain how much this means to me. All I can say is that 8-year-old me would be so incredibly proud. Thank you Britney for making my dreams come true...May all the beautiful colors of the rainbow fill your heart forever!" 

Galofre, a Colombian contemporary visual artist who is based in Denver, graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University in 2018 after receiving a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Environmental Science from Colorado College in 2013.

An Instagram post by the ASU School of Art praised Galofre for attracting Spears' attention. The post reads, "THE @britneyspears shared our 2018 MFA Alumn’s painting!! Congrats @camiglfr."
