Glenside, Pa. – Stockton University (8-1) dominated Arcadia University (2-6) 13-2 for its eighth consecutive win, which is a school record for the women's lacrosse program in its 10th season. Two previous Stockton teams won seven in a row (2016, 2017).
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) led the Ospreys with three goals and
Margot Costello (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) tallied two goals and an assist.
Lilly Alessandro (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) totaled two goals, five ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls.
Stockton scored twice in the first quarter and four times in the second period for a commanding 6-0 lead.
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) netted two goals while Costello and
Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) each contributed a goal and an assist.
In the third quarter, Alessandro scored twice and Costello and Marinello added one goal apiece to make it 10-0 before Arcadia got on the board.
The Ospreys scored three straight in the fourth quarter, two by Marinello with freshman
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) adding a goal and an assist, before a late Arcadia tally set the final at 13-2.
Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) earned the goalie win with two saves in 47:48 and
Daniela Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) made one stop in the last 12:12. Arcadia goalkeeper Emily Griffith registered 12 stops for the home team.
Stockton will play its next two games at home, starting with a matchup against Cabrini University on Friday at 5 p.m.
