Patty Brennan - Story Collider Evolution 2019 by SSE Communications published on 2019-10-14T20:23:08Z Patty Brennan is an expert on the evolution of reproductive structures in vertebrates and the mechanisms that drive genital diversification, particularly in birds. Her research has received considerable media attention in recent years including The New York Times, The Economist, The Guardian, The Washington Post, SNL, and The Colbert Report. She is originally a marine biologist from Colombia, and is now an assistant professor of Biology at Mount Holyoke. She is an advocate for the importance of basic science, and she regularly speaks about this topic to diverse audiences.
