Snack Donations

Our school is in urgent need of snack donations to support our students. There are many students at Seven Locks whose families are unable to send snacks for them to have at school. Any non-perishable and preferably peanut and nut-free snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, or crackers would be greatly appreciated. If you're able to donate, please drop off your contributions at the school front office with a note labeling that they are “donations for the counseling office." From there, Mrs. McDonnell (formerly Ms. Hagan) will make sure teacher’s have what they need to provide snacks to their students as needed.

Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to donate! Every little helps!

Community Day at Churchill

Churchill is hosting a community day on Saturday, April 13th at 1:30pm to celebrate the Jack Langerman Cup and would like to invite the SLES community. Jack was a fellow Wildcat, an amazing role model and friend. We hope you can come out and join in the fun to celebrate Jack!

Saturday, April 13th at 6:30pm

Get ready to be dazzled! Join us for our annual Variety Show on Saturday, April 13th at 6:30pm in the school's APR. The Seven Locks Variety Show is sure to please all ages, and the show is free! Doors will open for the audience at 6:15pm. Please note that this is not a drop off event but rather a family event. Our talented students will showcase their incredible talents in music, dance, comedy, and more! It's a night you won't want to miss. Mark your calendars and come support our amazing performers! See you there!

Fourth graders will be selling pizza, drinks and chips, so no need to cook dinner!!

Volunteer Info

In order to have a successful show, we need volunteers to help make things run smoothly. Please see HERE for a sign-up genius and please volunteer if you are able to. We will need help with decorating, tech set up, checking in acts, setting up chairs, etc. We will have reserved seating for volunteers and their families, so they can watch their child perform.

Attention to those in the show, please keep the following in mind:

Friday, April 12th, 2024

  • Rehearsal from 6:30-8:30pm at SLES APR
  • Attendance is mandatory at the rehearsal so your child can practice their act on the stage. Once your child performs, they can leave. The order of the acts was sent in a separate email.

Saturday, April 13, 2024

  • Variety Show - 6:30-8:30pm at SLES APR
  • Arrival time - 6:00pm
    • Performers and emcees must be checked in and seated by 6:15pm
  • We ask that all acts and family members stay for the entire show!

The Winston Churchill Student Government Association (SGA) is sponsoring a Community Carnival on Saturday, April 27th from 10am - 2pm: with games, rides, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, free sports clinics, food, music, and more. Along with all of the fun - there will be information booths about clubs and groups, services for our community, the schools and PTSA's from each of the individual schools will be there - and registration information for Kindergarten will be available.

Come out and join the community for this fun for all ages event!

PTA Membership

Haven't joined the PTA yet? It's never too late!!

Help us spread the word! The PTA is its own entity that works within our school; however, our communication is completely separate from the communication you receive from school.  The PTA does not have access to contact you about all the fun events and activities we have planned UNLESS you enter your information into our database: Membership Toolkit. Your membership helps us continue to provide valuable resources and support for our school.

Sign up today at: slespta.membershiptoolkit.com. If you haven't joined yet PLEASE join today! We need your support.

PTA Fundraiser

Another way to support our PTA financially would be to link your grocery store and target cards to SLES. Every bit helps us! This must be re-linked every school year. It doesn’t carry over year to year.

More information can be found HERE

The PTA is doing what we can to help keep our Wildcat community safe. This week, bright orange "See Me Walk" flags were installed at each corner of Seven Locks and Bradley. All are encouraged to use a flag when crossing the street to increase your visibility.

Thank you for your advocacy and ideas on how we can increase traffic safety. Mrs. Hansen, one of our student's parents, has created a survey (link HERE) to gain your feedback and guide next steps. In the meantime, let's all work together to slow down, not make left-turns out of or into the car loop during high traffic times, and make full stops by crosswalks. Thank you for working together to make SLES safe for walkers, car/bus riders, and cyclists.

PTA Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in volunteering to help with upcoming activities at SLES?  There are many different areas where help is needed - ranging from large events, to tasks that require very little time commitment.

No PTA activity would be possible without our dedicated Seven Locks parents! We need you! The PTA will appreciate your help, other parents will appreciate your help, but best of all - your kids will appreciate your help!

Find out ways to volunteer HERE.

SLES Lunch/Recess Volunteers

If you are able to sign up for a lunch/recess block consistently or periodically, the school would appreciate it. Please click HERE to sign up to volunteer. Thank you for your help!

Have you downloaded the new Membership Toolkit Directory app yet?

It's free, convenient, and easy to use to meet new families at SLES! Search by class, grade or name.  Available in the Apple App Store & Google Play.
