Welcome to my website! I'm Emily.

Doctoral Candidate

I am a doctoral candidate in the engineering psychology track at Oregon State University, where I study how individuals interact with their visual environments. I have a very strong background in experimental and survey design, data analysis, and communication.

My dissertation is largely focused on how humans interact with their visual environments. Some approaches include studying the factors that contribute to hindsight bias, cognitive workload, human factors in transportation, and human-robot interaction. My passion lies in applying areas of cognitive and experimental psychology to real world settings to improve use, experiences, and performance.

When I'm not studying, you can find me reading fantasy novels, powerlifting, or spending quality time with friends (AKA arguing over board games).
