ABOUT
Welcome! The College & Career Center holds a wealth of information and resources for students as they ponder "life after high school." Parents and students can reach out or make an appointment with Mr. Nalda in the College & Career Center for assistance with college, career, or scholarship searches. The College & Career Center also has many resources and information regarding financial aid. This is especially important for eleventh and twelfth graders.
During the school year, the College & Career Center is open 7:00am - 3:00pm. Students can come in before school, after school, or during lunch. At any other time during the day, students may come down with a pass as long as a scheduled activity is not taking place. Parents & Guardians are also welcome to schedule an appointment via email. Zoom meetings are also available.

Juniors & Seniors are encouraged to participate in visits to learn more about colleges and universities. Students interested in participating in visits must register in Naviance. Job Fair, Westfield Montgomery Mall - April 20
Saturday, April 20, 2024 | 1:00PM to 4:00PM
Multiple retailers as well as Community partners including but not limited to MCPD, Gaithersburg Police, BBCRS, Rockville City Police, Emergency 911 and more will be coming out for hiring and recruiting opportunities for part-time, full-time as well as some holiday hours.
Summer Junior Leader Program - Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Germantown Branch
Summer SSL opportunity for rising 9th graders-12th graders! We are calling all Junior Leaders to apply for our Summer Junior Leader program! Junior Leaders are volunteer club members (going into the 9th grade - 12th grade) who are interested in learning leadership skills and skills to work with youth. Each Junior Leader will be assigned to a Camp Counselor that they will assist with daily activities. The Junior Leader program allows our teen members to have an amazing summer, gain work experience and training, while earning SSL hours.
All applicants must submit a completed application packet (application, essay, and 3 letters of recommendation) due by Friday, April 26, 2024.

2024 Constellation Youth Energy Summit
July 14-19, 2024 | UMBC | Application Deadline: April 28th
The Youth Energy Summit was created to bring together young people who want to be part of the climate change solution and are willing to learn and lead us to a brighter and more sustainable future. If you have an interest in STEM and climate change this is the place for you! Constellation is the nation’s largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy and a leading supplier of energy products and services to businesses, homes, community aggregations and public sector customers across the continental United States. A key element of this effort includes engaging with young people who want to learn about energy, electricity, and climate change in order to be leaders in our local communities today and in the future.
The Y.E.S! program is open to students in 10th or 11th grade and is for students interested in energy and sustainability.
This program is free to attend.
Y.E.S! participants will receive an iPad, Constellation T-shirts for the week, and learning opportunities with peers and energy professionals.
Y.E.S! participants will stay on-campus at UMBC for the week.

Montgomery College Disability Support Services (MC DSS) Information Night for Fall 2024 - May 1
Montgomery College Disability Support Services (MC DSS) is proud to announce our upcoming DSS Information Night for Fall 2024. This event is intended to help facilitate the transition from high school to college and is best suited for MCPS Juniors, Seniors, and their families. This year’s event will be held over Zoom on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 6:30pm. We will have a 60 minute presentation about Disability Support Services followed by a 30 minute general question and answer period.
Topics covered include:
Overview of services provided
Starting Smart – how to apply and connect with DSS
How accommodations work at the college level
How courses and services are provided

Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Annual Open House - May 17

Students, adult cohorts, and workforce development partners are invited to attend and watch the best-trained, highly-skilled union carpenter apprentices compete in an all-day construction competition.
Join the Mid-Atlantic Carpenters’ Training Centers, Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, and Carpenter Contractor Trust for a day filled with activities, vendor booths, food, and the opportunity to learn more about joining the Carpenters Union as an apprentice.
