Overview

The MBHS Summer Programs have a wide range of original credit, credit recovery, credit extension, enrichment and college readiness courses this summer.

  • Semester A: June 28 - July 16 (no school July 5)

  • Semester B: July 19 - August 6 (no school July 26)

Deadline to register for both Semester A or Semester B is Friday, June 4th.

Original credit courses will feature a blended instructional model, combining required, synchronous virtual meetings and a robust, asynchronous experience. Students will attend mandatory synchronous virtual instructional sessions that may contain:

  • Direct instruction

  • Preview of asynchronous content

  • Review of asynchronous content

  • Collaborative work

  • Student discourse

  • Re-teaching

  • Assessment and Reassessment

Credit recovery provides an opportunity for students to avoid failure and earn academic credit. A wide variety of educational strategies will be used to recover the learning objectives in courses that are graduation requirements.

Extension provides an opportunity for a student to extend a portion of a course that they have already passed to possibly raise their grade.

Enrichment programs provide an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year, try new things, and explore or develop interests.


College readiness is the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required of high school students to be successful in their post-secondary education.
