The application process is closed for the 2023-2024 year and the team has been selected. Mrs. Molter sent emails to all applicants on Thursday, May 11th. If you have questions, or did not receive an email, please contact her at jmolter@forsyth.k12.ga.us.

Sawnee VEX Robotics Teams go to Texas!
Recently, three teams from Sawnee Elementary went to Texas for the VEX Robotics World Championship. They competed against teams from all over the world. Students showed tremendous respect and determination at the event! Congratulations to all of the students and parents that attended! Sawnee VEX Robotics Teams are Headed to World Championship!!
Sawnee Elementary VEX robotics teams are going to Texas for the World Championship!!! Congratulations to Team Gorgeous Group winning the Innovate Award and Team Roboshot winning the Design Award at the state competition. Both teams will be going to Texas in April to compete at the VEX World Championship! Read more about our success in the Forsyth County News Article!
We want to extend a special congratulations to our two robotics teams who will advance to State Competition! The Cyberdarts won the Teamwork Challenge Award and the Gorgeous Group won the Design Award!
Sawnee had 3 Robotics teams compete at the Last Chance Slapshot Event in Marietta and they did great! We had one team make it to the finals and their match-up scored the 2nd highest points!
Sawnee had three teams compete at the VEX IQ Robotics Tournament at Lanier Middle School. They all did an amazing job! The Gorgeous Group won the Second Place Teamwork Champion Award and the Excellence Award. The Rogue Robots won the Teamwork Champion Award First Place!

What is VEX? VEX Competitions bring STEM skills to life by tasking teams of students with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Teams of two people work with another team of two to maximize their points in IQ Squared Away. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
