The basic idea of STEAM is to encourage kids to think more broadly by bridging subjects and problem solving.
Sawnee continues our tradition of providing enriching education with our online STEAM website. It is our hope that the time you spend at home with your children can also be a time of wonder, fun and exploration!

Science Olympiad Regional Tournament
Saturday, March 23rd our Science Olympiad teams competed for a chance to go to the state competition in May. Both of our teams did a wonderful job. Our team B came in 2nd overall and won a trophy. We're very proud of our students! We want to thank our parents and volunteers that helped and supported the kids throughout the school year! Sphero Indi Robotic Cars
Thank you to the PTO for the mini-grant! We were able to purchase 3 sets of Sphero Indi robotic cars and the kids are loving them!

Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. This causes an obscured view of the Sun from a small part of the Earth, totally or partially.
