In June 2020 AASLE took part in the EALE, SOLE, AASLE World Conference, for the first time. This was a highly successful event that promoted our society, yet its format did not allow room for our annual Job Market event. AASLE wants to keep in touch with its community and give candidates and recruiters the opportunity to meet and collaborate. Thus we are happy to announce that a standalone AASLE 2020 Job Market event will be hosted virtually!

The event took place on 10-11 December 2020 on zoom; candidates were given a platform to present their work and recruiters were able to attend the presentations and plan interviews. An panel comprising Hanming Fang (ShanghaiTech University & University of Pennsylvania), Stephen Machin (LSE), Abigail Payne (The University of Melbourne) and Michèle Tertilt (Mannheim University) on Covid-19 and Higher Education was also be part of the event.
