Ramla serves as the Associate Director for the Center for Personal Development. She provides leadership for the Center for Personal Development which provides programs and individual counseling services to support students as they explore their purpose and grow personally and professionally. Ramla has worked in K-12 education and higher education for over 14 years.  Her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing is from Mars Hill University.  She earned her Master of Science in Educational Counseling from the University of Memphis.  Before joining Lewis Honors College in 2018, Ramla was a high school counselor in Memphis, TN. Ramla's professional experience also includes career services and recruitment.  

Credentials that Ramla has earned include being a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors, MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), Strong Interest Inventory and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification credential by the Center for Credentialing and Education.  

Ramla is currently serving on the following committees: D&I Committee for BGSHRM, Steering Committee for the Emerging Leaders with Commerce Lexington, Partners for Youth Grassroots reviewer, serves as Co-Chair for the Lewis Honors College DE&I committee, served on UK’s Women’s Month planning committee, and completed the 2023 Leadership Lexington Class. Ramla is a proud mom of two boys, Nas (3 years old) and Noah (13-month-old) who keep her active. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking and traveling.
