Account Reclaiming

If you have forgotten your password as well as the answers to your security questions, you must reclaim your account.

 

  1. Go to myaccount.sc.edu and click the Need Further Assistance link under the blue links.

 

 

  1. If you have attempted to access your account by using the online resources, Select the Reclaim Account button.

 

 

  1. Enter the required fields and click Submit.

 

 

***NOTE: If you are a student and unable to complete the required fields on this screen, you must contact the Registrar for further assistance. If you are an employee you must contact Human Resources for further assistance.

 

  1. You will be presented with the following page.

 

 

***NOTE: If you are unable to access the Preferred Personal Email Address that is associated with your account, you must contact the departments below in order to verify your identity:
Students – the Office of the Registrar
Employees – Human Resources

 

  1. Open the message that was sent to your Preferred Personal Email Address and click the link that was included (see example below).

 

  1. Enter all required fields, then click Submit.

 

 

  1. Enter your email preferences, then click Continue.

 

 

  1. Enter your Emergency Notification preferences, and then click Continue. NOTE: If you are an Applicant, you will not see this step and need to proceed to the next step to continue reclaiming your account.

 

 

  1. Enter your Security Questions and Answers, then click Continue.

 

 

  1. Enter your new password using the guidelines stated, then click Continue.

 

 

  1. Setup your preferred Multifactor Authentication setting(s), then click Continue.

 

 

  1. Set your preferred data such as preferred first name, last name, gender identity, and personal pronouns. After you set your preferred data, please click Complete Claiming button.


  2. Congratulations, you have successfully reclaimed your account!
