Savannah State University is a unit of the University System of Georgia (USG) who continues to work closely with the Georgia Department of Public Health to prioritize the health and safety of campus communities.

USG encourages masks based on preference and assessment of personal risk.

The Savannah State University Vaccination Clinic is open to students, faculty, staff and family members of the campus community, on Tuesdays and Fridays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Harris McDew Health Clinic (Clinic will be closed for lunch daily 1-2 P.M.). Make an appointment now.

Below please find the guidance provided by DPH related to the administration of boosters for those individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at least six months ago:

Booster Dose of COVID Vaccine

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) are recommending COVID vaccine booster shots for individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech primary series at least six months ago. 

The recommendations for COVID vaccine booster shots are:

Only the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine has been authorized as a booster dose, and the above recommendations will only apply to individuals who received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for their primary series.  

DPH continues to stress the importance of vaccination for all Georgians aged 12 and older. Vaccination is our best tool to protect lives and stop the spread of COVID-19 in our state.
