+ Do I need an appointment?
We strongly encourage you to book your appointment ahead of time. At this time, we do not handle appointments over the phone.
The information you provide during the registration process will be securely and safely stored on our encrypted servers and transmitted to partner laboratories.
+ Do you accept my insurance?
All insurers are covering 100% of RT-PCR testing costs during this time as part of the national emergency plan (read more about the CARES Act here), and you will not be responsible for copays or deductibles. Sameday Health accepts all insurances for standard RT-PCR testing (the RT-PCR priority with insurance includes a rush fee which is non-reimbursable). However, coverage for rapid antigen tests varies across insurers, so we recommend confirming your coverage with your insurance provider before submitting a rapid test reimbursement.
+ How much does the Priority RT-PCR test cost?
Our Priority RT-PCR test is available with two billing options. The Self-payer option is fully out-of-pocket and provides the fastest turnaround. Insurance users can choose the Priority Insurance option to bill your insurance for the testing service. This option incurs an out-of-pocket Rush fee, which is not reimbursable through insurance.
+ How is Sameday providing a faster turnaround time?
We use a custom-built and fully integrated software system connecting our clinical staff and partner laboratories. This allows us to consistently deliver the fastest turnaround times.
+ What documents are provided after testing?
Test results will be available via the client portal as a PDF laboratory report. This PDF can be printed or shown for travel needs. Please confirm the up-to-date testing requirements for your travel destination with your airline or travel agent.
If you need additional documentation for airline traveling, including a Doctor's Signature, please email support@sameday-testing.com.
+ Will my test results be accepted by my destination?
Please confirm the up-to-date testing requirements for your travel destination with your airline or travel agent. Entry requirements are continuously updating and changing, so be sure to check the test type and collection method needed to enter your destination.
Please be sure to check with your airline and destination about any specific testing requirements they may have prior to scheduling an appointment.
+ What is an RT-PCR diagnostic test?
A reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) diagnostic test can show if you have an active coronavirus infection and will determine whether you need to take steps to quarantine or isolate yourself from others. RT-PCR tests detect the virus’ genetic material and are considered the gold standard for COVID-19 testing.
+ What is a Rapid Antigen test?
We offer a Rapid Antigen test from BD, which is our quickest diagnostic Covid19 test. A medical professional will perform a mid-turbinate nasal swab, which will be processed on-site with the BD Plus Analyzer. You will receive results within 30 minutes of taking your Rapid Antigen test. Please find more information about the test and its performance here. FDA summary.
+ What is an Antibody test?
We offer the COVID-19 Rapid Antibody test by Azure Biotech. Our antibody test assesses previous infection with COVID-19 by checking for IgG and IgM antibodies in your blood, collected using a finger prick. Positive results indicating the presence of antibodies does not guarantee immunity against new SARS-CoV-2 viral infection. Testing and results are processed on-site by a licensed medical professional and will be available within 15 minutes. Patient Fact Sheet
+ How is the Antibody test administered?
The antibody test is administered by blood draw via a finger prick.
+ Is the sample collection painful?
No, the test will not hurt! We administer our tests via mid-turbinate nasal swab collection method, which only enters about 1 inch into the nostril This collection process is much more comfortable than the nasopharyngeal collection used in most hospitals and public testing locations.
+ How can I get tested?
Simply book an appointment on our website.
Arrive at the testing site 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Once there, our medical professionals will guide you through the next steps.
+ How will I find out my results?
You will receive an e-mail and SMS notification with login information to our portal once the results are received from the lab. You will be able to download your result report in PDF format to easily share it with your employer, family or airline.
+ Can I bring my child?
Yes, absolutely. We have Registered Nurses and CMAs on site, who can keep your child accompanied while you are getting tested. Parents can remain in the testing area or with their child to comfort them while they are being tested. To help prepare your child for their testing experience, we recommend you provide them with an explanation on why they are getting tested and share with them the following information: our friendly staff will be wearing proper personal protective equipment to keep people safe and are there to help. Explain that our RN/CMA will swab the inside of their nose with a cotton swab and that it may tickle a little and be uncomfortable, but it will not hurt them.
