CLICK HERE to report a POSITIVE COVID-19 home test

What you need to know:

All individuals who test positive for COVID-19, or have symptoms of another respiratory virus like flu or RSV, should do the following:

  • Stay home and away from others (including people you live with who are not sick).
  • You can resume your normal activities when your symptoms are getting better overall for 24 hours AND you have not had a fever without fever reducing medication for 24 hours.
  • Take added precautions over the next 5 days after resuming normal activities, such as wearing a mask, practicing good respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene, physical distancing, and taking steps toward cleaner air.
  • Consider testing again when you are feeling better as a screening tool before gathering with others, especially to help protect people who have risk factors for severe illness. False negatives are possible, false positives are uncommon.
  • If your symptoms return or new symptoms develop, stay home until the two criteria have been met again.

*Remember, you may still be able to spread the virus to others even if you are feeling better!
