Leonardo DiCaprio: Pupusas Are Better Than Tacos

When Quentin Tarantino, Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio chatted with Univision recently, the conversation moved from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to Mexican cuisine, which is discussed in the film.

Reporter Luis Sandoval asked the stars whether they actually liked Mexican food. Pitt said that “you can’t live in LA and not love Mexican food.” Sandoval then asked them to name their favorite Mexican dish. Brad said you couldn’t beat a taco, but Leo had different thought.

“I’m a pupusa man, myself,” he said. “Better than tacos to me, I gotta go with them.”

It’s not clear whether he thought pupusas were part of Mexican cuisine (they’re Salvadoran), but it was nonetheless, an unexpected answer from Leo. Check out the video below.
