We have exciting news! On December 15 and 16, Virginia Cooperative Extension will be hosting our powerful and interactive Cattle WISE and Equipment WISE programs at Graves Mountain Lodge. Our 2022 programs had rave reviews from participants! One of the greatest desires from participants is for the information to be presented in a hands-on manner. Therefore, WISE stands for Women Increasing Skills and Education and we have purposefully designed both programs to Learn by DOING! This year we are excited to announce that Dr. Temple Grandin will be a part of the program! Dr. Grandin will be speaking to participants a dinner on Friday night and teaching us all low stress cattle handling techniques and principles on Saturday. This is an extremely unique opportunity for everyone!
We are looking for businesses to help make our 2023 program and future programming successful through sponsorship. The 2023 two-day program will have women learning everything from cattle handling and reproduction to tractor driving and chainsaw safety. Participants will be treated to lunch both days along with printed materials and swag.
