A group of UK faculty are working to “revision” the Center for Health Services Research. CHSR’s leadership left UK in September, and we see this as an opportunity to rethink and reorganize. Our overarching goal is to create a “CHSR 2.0” that is more inclusive of health services/health policy researchers across campus, is better connected to our educational programs, and offers a real value-add to researchers and the stakeholders we (can) serve.

What is health services research? Academy Health, the largest professional HSR society, defines HSR as the scientific study of health care delivery—asking what works, for whom, at what cost, and under what circumstances. It is also considered by many to represent T3 and T4 translational research.

If you consider yourself to be a health services researcher or just have an interest in HSR, we want to hear from you!
