About the Job:

As a front-end developer, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing new and existing client ecommerce direct to consumer (DTC) websites, applying your knowledge of primary ecommerce platforms and best practices to ensure top site performance and user experience to drive on-site conversions. You will need to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the business to execute digital audits, site optimization, landing page creation and other tasks as needed for owned brand and client DTC ecommerce sites.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to achieve business goals associated with website development and optimization
  • Strategically contribute to design, user experience, build and optimization across a variety of ecommerce platforms, specifically WooCommerce, Shopify, Big Commerce, Magento and others.
  • Develop and or work with strategic partners to develop fully responsive CSS/HTML workflows, templates, and website configurations.
  • Audit technical requirements and user experience through the lens of a consumer and align recommendations to DTC ecommerce best practices
  • Analyze existing web experience to ensure optimization across devices and platforms
  • Execute creation of DTC sites, landing pages and client customizations.
  • Stay on top of new ecommerce trends and emerging ecommerce platforms.
  • Suggest optimizations to support the goals of our clients and Powerplay.
  • Assist in managing the project timelines for DTC sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a business-related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar technical role.
  • Experience in the retail industry preferred.
  • Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, Big Commerce, Magneto and emerging best-in-class ecommerce platforms required.
  • Experience building responsive ecommerce websites, with a base knowledge of Google Analytics, Merchant Center and other Google products to aid in analytics infrastructure.
  • Experience with front end coding such as HTML and CSS.
  • Must be able to commute to our office in Mendota Heights, MN.
