Riverkeepers Clean-up Event *All Ages

Join us for a day of community action and environmental stewardship at the Riverkeepers Clean-up Event! Join a group of Bigs and Littles for a rewarding morning by the water. Equipped with gloves, trash bags, and a passion for preserving our waterways, participants will work together to remove debris and litter from the riverbanks and surrounding areas. As we unite in this important effort, we'll not only beautify our environment but also protect the habitats of our local wildlife. Together, we can make a difference! Let's come together to keep our rivers clean and thriving for generations to come. Snacks and shirts provided. There will be a waiver that both Bigs & Littles will need to complete. This event is for Littles of all ages.

Join BBBS for our pilot program on working with Milwaukee Art Therapy Collective. We invite matches to an open house art night. Enjoy make and take activities for you and your Little. There will be a variety of themes each week and projects to partake in. Art therapy is a mental health profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Light snacks provided. This event is for Littles of all ages. Can’t make it in April? We will offer this opportunity again in May.
DREAMS Kids Write Performance *All Ages

Join BBBS for a performance of Kids Writes that includes the story of DREAMS. This is a program is conducted with Milwaukee Public Schools on a yearly basis, and earlier this school year, Skylight Music Theatre’s Education Department visited 11 different MPS schools to facilitate workshops with students to write stories based on what they think about when they hear the word DREAMS. Over a thousand stories and songs were submitted and a few were selected to create an original musical. Kids Writes scenes and monologues are written strictly by students grades 3 through 8, all pieces are performed EXACTLY as written. Actors from Skylight will provide an exclusive performance for BBBS matches. Dinner included. This event is for all ages.
Model Sailboat Building Workshop *Ages 10 and older

Embark on a nautical adventure at our Model Sailboat Building Workshop! Participants will be surprised at how many tools they will use to construct and decorate their own model boats. Guided by experienced mentors, matches will learn essential woodworking techniques. Snacks are provided. This event is for Littles ages 10 and older.

Create a Gift for Someone Special *All Ages

We invite Bigs and Littles to spend time together honoring mothers, fathers, and special adults in their lives. You will have a chance to put your personal touch on creating a gift for the special people in your life. We will have a variety of projects including cards, coupon books, and make-and-take projects to give as gifts. This is a great way to plan for Mother’s and Father’s Day. Dinner provided. This event is for all ages.
Horse Connections Part 2 *Ages 10 and older

Join us at MKE Urban Stables for an evening of equine assisted learning. We are inviting matches back for a part two. This program will include hands-on activities with therapy horses and Milwaukee Mounted Patrol officers. We will have the opportunity to take the skills you learned from the first time you attended and build off the skills you have learned, along with helping continue to build your relationship as a match. Our activities will encourage relationship building with your match and provide a special experience for everyone. This is for matches who have attended at least one of the horse programs we have offered in the past. Dinner provided. This event is for Littles ages 10 and older.

Join us at MKE Urban Stables for an evening of eoin BBBS as we celebrate you and your Little! "Reflection, Recognition, and Recreation" are the focus of our match anniversary events. Celebrate your match anniversary with a delicious brunch. The morning will include brunch, games, and BINGO with awesome prizes for matches. We are inviting matches who have reached their anniversaries from January through May. This event is for all ages.
