Welcome to the profile of Anthony Stover, a well-known author, consultant, facilitator, trainer, and advocate for youth in foster care. With over two decades of experience in the field of Youth Engagement, Anthony is a recognized leader in the area of youth advocacy and empowerment.

Anthony's accomplishments include being recognized as the 2022 Casey Excellence for Children award winner and starting Stover Consulting (www.stoverconsulting.net), which provides professional development, life skills leadership training, team building, and more for young people and staff. He was also a core member of the Foster Youth In Action Network, which provides feedback, guidance, and technical assistance with policies, practice, and constituent engagement.

In addition to his work in youth advocacy, Anthony is also an author of three books, including "Adulting 101: My First Apartment," "Adulting 101: How Not to Starve!," and "Adulting 101: How not to get Fired!," all of which can be viewed at Amazon.com: Anthony Stover: books, biography, latest update.

Anthony is a certified Therapeutic Game Master from Geek Therapeutics, using evidence-based video games, role-playing, and tabletop games as an alternative/complimentary approach to the success and growth of clients.

Anthony's dedication to advocating for youth in foster care is rooted in his own experiences. After entering foster care at age 11, Anthony faced many challenges but found stability through his social worker, Grady Jenkins, his mother figure and mentor, Angela Stover, and Families First, a nonprofit change agent for those involved in Georgia’s foster care system. Anthony went on to earn an associate degree in computer technology and a bachelor’s in project management. Anthony and Angela are now legally a family after an adult adoption.

Anthony is recognized for his work influencing key statewide policies with Georgia House Resolution 789 and has been honored as a Fosterclub All-Star. He served on the board for Foster Care Alumni of America, served on the National Alumni and Foster Youth Policy Council, named to a few Governor’s committees.
