473K: A Belonging Workshop Series — Restoring Justice in Jewish Organizations

The Federation’s annual 473K Belonging Experience — named for the number of people in Bay Area Jewish households — has evolved into a year-long, free, virtual workshop series on topics that matter most to organizational leaders and require new approaches to embrace everyone in our diverse communities.
473K is intended for:
- Professional and lay leadership of Jewish organizations
- Clergy
- Development professionals
- Board members
- Jewish entrepreneurs/start-ups
- People leading Jewish engagement and/or DEIB work in the Jewish world
The first workshop focuses on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) which begins with building individual awareness, skills, and resilience, but how do we affect lasting institutional change so that everyone can find belonging in Jewish organizations?
Whether you feel “inside,” “outside” or somewhere in between, your voice is needed for this conversation. We’ll explore barriers to change and gain new ideas and allies to help you build more inclusive Jewish communities.

We are also offering three Kickstart Sessions - identical one-hour introductions to the power of belonging as a framework to transform organizations and communities. Kickstart participants will learn the language, principles, and practices to apply to challenges they experience in their organizations.
