We Care

A Message To Families and Visitors

COVID-19 Response

The families we serve and the health of the community remains our top priority.

During this confusing and concerning time, we want to share our plans with you. We want to assure you that we are all in this together.

We are closely monitoring and following all guidelines from the CDC, federal and state funeral associations, and local and state emergency services. As of June 10, 2020 the Minnesota Department of Health is restricting indoor gatherings can cannot exceed 50% normal capacity and maintain 6 feet physical distance between households.  Funeral services held at Dare's Funeral Home can support a designated maximum number of persons for attendance.  We can offer visitation or gathering time for any duration of time prior to the start of the service for the persons in attendance on the same day.  If maximum capacity is reached, a sign will be placed outside the funeral home notifying the public no additional admittance will be available and the doors will be locked.  Please call the funeral home for the maximum number of allowable persons for attendance.  We have set in place new measures to help protect and accommodate the elderly, sick, and members of the public.  We will make every effort to accommodate families in making arrangements and conducting services in any capacity needed to ensure their safety and comfort while honoring their loved one.

Arrangements can be made remotely, via email, webcast or over the phone, our staff will make in-home arrangements or hold the arrangement conference at our location.

We are expanding our offering to livestream funeral services to the public.

We encourage the use of our online guestbooks for condolence messages to the family.

We have placed reminders throughout our funeral homes to ask that physical contact, such as shaking hands or hugging, be limited with family members.
O
ur large gathering spaces will be set up to allow social distancing.

We continue, as always, to provide professional hand sanitizer stations throughout our facilities and have enacted extra cleaning in all public areas. Offering only bottled water to public and family.

Please continue to

- Wash hands often with soap and water

- Cover mouth when coughing or sneezing

- Do not shake hands, maintain a social distance of 6 feet

- Avoid touching face

- Stay at home and avoid contact with others

– Schooling from home, if possible

– Avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people

– Avoiding discretionary travel, shopping trips and social visits

– Avoid social public spaces

The best way we can help minimize the spread of COVID-19 is to follow the highly recommended guidelines set forth by the CDC, Minnesota Dept. of Health, Minnesota State Government, and affiliated health officials. We request public patience and understanding as we decide how best to minimize public interaction and spread of COVID-19. Be safe. All updates of information will be shared on our website.

Sincerely,

The Staff of Dare’s Funeral Home
