An Oral History Of Paul Kelly's 'How To Make Gravy' Pt1

Series eight of Rewind deep dives into Paul Kelly’s How To Make Gravy, first released 25 years ago. Steve Bell talks to Kelly about the song’s origin, stemming from a commission to contribute a song to a charity album. History of Charcoal Lane

This is a fabulous podcast series that just reels you in from episode 1. Thank you.
The timelines, with so many interesting interviews from not only Archie Roach, but all the main people and musicians involved in the making of that first album and the subsequent brilliant life that gave so much to so many is a must listen.
I will be sharing this with a few people who, like me, have a special place in their hearts for Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter.
For over a decade I worked with a guy who shared the streets and laneways of Fitzroy with Archie et al. and who also got his life back on track with the help of a strong woman…..after many, many years.
The fact that Archie Roach went through so much pain and gave nothing but love and grace back is such an astonishing testament. His music was straight from the heart and his legacy will live forever.
Vale Archie Roach.
