Local Girl Scouts Donate Cookies To St. Mary's Hospital Workers

In addition to donating more than 1,550 boxes of cookies to front-line workers, the local Girl Scouts made cards and masks.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Local Girl Scouts are showing their support for front-line workers during the coronavirus pandemic through donations of their signature sweets.

Local Girl Scouts have donated more than 1,550 boxes off cookies throughout the region, including to hospitals, pharmacies, EMS, and police departments in Bucks County and Philadelphia.

The gesture, carried out by the Sandy Run Service Unit, is aimed to thank the workers for their dedication during the pandemic. Additionally, the local Girl Scouts made cards to accompany the cookie boxes and have sewn masks.

The Sandy Run Service Unit have donated to the following hospitals:

  • Troop 2036 donated cookies to nurses in the PICU and ED at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)
  • Troop 21468 donated cookies to Robert Wood Johnson-Hamilton, Jefferson Bucks, St. Mary’s Medical Center and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center
  • Troop 21636 donated cookies to the ER and ICU units at Jefferson Bucks and St. Mary’s
  • Troop 21570 donated cookies to St. Mary’s Hospital
  • Troop 2105 donated cookies to Doylestown Hospital
  • Troop 2037 donated cookies to St. Mary’s Hospital
