Elon Musk sells $1M worth of new ‘Burnt Hair’ perfume

Are you ready for Elon’s musk?

The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, is following in the footsteps of countless celebrities by launching his own perfume — and the scent’s already a hit, despite its rather disgusting name: “Burnt Hair.”

“With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?” the father of 10 tweeted Tuesday.

Created by Musk’s Boring Company, “Burnt Hair” — which the Tesla founder declared “the finest fragrance on Earth”costs $100 a bottle, ships in early 2023 and is billed as “the essence of repugnant desire.”

“Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work,” The Boring Company’s website promises.

That description didn’t keep shoppers away, however; early Wednesday, Musk, 51, tweeted that he’d sold 10,000 bottles of the stuff.

“Doesn’t get more lit than this!” he joked.

Musk’s Twitter bio now reads, “Perfume Salesman.”

Not everyone’s on board with the billionaire’s new juice, however; “If I wanted Burnt Hair, I’d just go for a ride in a Tesla,” one critic quipped.

“Nothing says, ‘I haven’t touched a woman in years’ like buying Elon Musk’s burnt hair perfume. I’m pretty sure he’s making fun of you guys at this point to see what ridiculous thing he can get you to buy,” another tweeted.

Another commenter compared him to Gwyneth Paltrow, accusing him of “trying to upstage” the Goop guru’s infamous vagina candle with his silly scent.

This isn’t Musk’s first foray into consumer goods beyond cars. He famously sold flamethrowers through The Boring Company in 2018, which he thought would “revolutionize barbecues.”

And in 2020, he took a jab at Tesla short sellers by releasing satin “short shorts,” which sold out in minutes.
