Drew Barrymore reveals her ‘game-changer’ parenting hack

Drew Barrymore is teaching her daughters to be grateful.

“I’m keeping a gratitude journal, and I see it influence me and my kids,” the actress told Page Six exclusively Monday on the red carpet at the 2022 Webby Awards.

“To clock good things that happen every day and then write them down at night, it’s made us more aware of people and recognize and acknowledge all the good and then write about it at night. It’s really been a game-changer,” she explained, adding that former “Today” show co-host Deborah Norville introduced her to the idea.

Barrymore, 47, shares two daughters with ex-husband Will Kopelman: Olive, 9, and Frankie, 8.

The talk show host explained that unlike parental disciplining where “you can’t try something new every time,” with “happiness, sometimes it’s OK to try new things.”

“You can have your set box of tools, but sometimes they don’t work and you have to reach for something new that day,” she elaborated.

Barrymore, famous for her sunny disposition, shared that she can’t stay blue for too long.

“I’m devoid of that,” the “Charlie’s Angels” star told us. “I always find the silver lining eventually. Sometimes it takes me longer than I want to, but I get there. We as humans don’t stay stuck.”

As for her dating life, the thrice-divorced star noted that she is still single.

“I don’t have news on that front!” she exclaimed.

Other celebs who attended this year’s Webby Awards included Adam Scott, Megan Thee Stallion and Big Bird, who had photographers yelling out advice on how to pose on the red carpet.
